In June of 2013, the Office of Research Administration made a change to the way supplemental awards are counted and reported. This change relates to how industry clinical trial awards are counted. Previously, each payment received for an industry clinical trial was counted as a separate “supplemental award.”  These individual payments are no longer being counted as supplemental awards. For fiscal year 2013, the change was made retroactively to the beginning of the fiscal year, meaning all of the ORA Award Reports for fiscal year 2013 are now counted in a consistent manner.
