As a result of feedback from recent library surveys to better highlight and market our notable print materials for both recreational and academic reading, the Woodruff Library is happy to formally announce new level 2 displays!
The “doughnut” shelving is composed of three distinct subcollections:
New Books is a curated collection of notable print titles for teaching and research. The collection is refreshed every two weeks.
Graphic Novels, a curated selection of our growing graphic novels collections, is frequently updated with new titles.
Rotating Display/Mini-Exhibit, home to monthly themed displays, is curated by librarians, students, and faculty. The current display features a collection of Lamba Literary Award winners this month in honor of LGBTQ History Month. November will see a mini-exhibit related to climate anxiety. Please contact Chris Palazzolo (cpalazz[at]emory.edu) to discuss other display ideas.
On the other side of the floor, you will see the serpentine shelving that now houses our McNaughton Popular Reading collection, which includes popular novels and other recreational reading, including cookbooks.
