We have been hard at work over the summer to improve your printing experience! In response to complaints about various aspects of EaglePrint, we are changing the backend software.
As of July 31, we began using the new PaperCut print management system in place of Pharos. This upgrade will bring enhanced functionality, improved stability, and a more seamless printing process. Some of the changes include:
- An easier refund request process through the eagleprint.emory.edu portal
- A login option on printers in case you forget your EmoryCard or swiping your card doesn’t work
- Online print rendering before payment – if the printer knows it can’t print your file, you won’t be charged
- Easier print software installation on your personal device, which now includes iPads, Chromebooks, and more
This change requires action on your part. You need to uninstall the old EaglePrint client and install the new one by following the instructions in the linked article.
