Woodruff Library is pleased to host the 2017 Academic Showcase for New Student Orientation on August 22 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.!
The event will take place on the main floor of the library (Level 2). You have the chance to meet with the department representatives from 45 academic departments and ask them questions about their programs.
The Library will also be providing Academic Showcase attendees coffee and snacks (pastries, energy bars, fruit) in the Jones Room on Level 3, so you can get your caffeine fix. And not only can you refuel and recharge but you will also be able to meet some librarians and ask them questions. Sample questions for you to ask the librarians –What do you guys do? How do I get an A on my research project? Does the library have my course textbook? Where’s the coffee?
Here are some other things to check out while at the Showcase:
The Goizueta Business Library (Level 2). Just across the aisle from the Showcase, check out the Business Library. Many of you will choose to study business and the business librarians can help you succeed in that.
The Library Service Desk (Level 2), where you check out library materials — or an umbrella — get help with your library account and with research.
The Music and Media library (Level 4, front of the building) where you can check out equipment or rent music or films.
The view from the Rose Library balconies (Level 10). This is our Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book library.
We look forward to meeting you!
Erin Mooney, Outreach & Education Librarian
