Research Project Coordinator, RSPH Department of Infectious Diseases

The Project Coordinator will provide overall coordination for all Emory project activities and will work closely with all investigators and administrators on the research and administrative aspects of the EN-RTP (D43), IRBL (R01), and IeDEA (U01) projects.  Performs the daily requirements to administratively manage these awards.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Coordinates the strategic planning process per leadership direction and monitors progress toward achieving project goals.
  • Assists in developing, administering and monitoring project related budgets.
  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for related conferences, conventions workshops and/or meetings.
  • Regularly schedules and meets with affiliated organizations to discuss and support the completion of programmatic aims and milestones.
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing funding strategies and initiatives.
  • Develops and generates various operational and statistical reports.
  • Represents and promotes the project at various speaking engagements.
  • May write grants, reports, briefings, newsletters, promotional or other written material related to the project.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Maintain and strengthen investigator, staff, and institutional partnerships.
  • Coordinate and serve as point of contact for study activities at Emory.
  • Work with leadership to troubleshoot and resolve unexpected situations related to implementation and execution of study/award aims.
  • Work with program trainees and Emory admin to assist in development and ensure compliance to protocols and award regulations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in international travel for project meetings in conjunction with the in-country project team one to two times a year.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related project management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University locationRemote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
