Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for an Epidemiologist Analyst. The Epidemiology Analyst will help   LADPH’s Covid-19  Surveillance team with data entry, data analysis, death certificate match assessment/entry, death verification and quality analysis. The candidate will also be asked to follow up with facilities for missing case information and produce writing data reports.

The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 2/22/2022 with potential renewal.

 

Job Duties

  • Data entry and analysis
  • Follow-up with facilities for missing information etc.
  • Death certificate match assessment/entry
  • SAS coding (entry level)
  • Producing and writing data reports
  • Death verification
  • Close collaboration with other teams
  • Quality Analysis
  • Resolving duplicates
  • Updating protocols
  • Managing covid death email inbox.

 

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree from an accredited college with specialization in epidemiology, biostatistics, or its equivalent;
  • Proficiency in SAS;

Desirable Qualifications

  • Windows-based laptop or desktop device, with a speaker and mic;
  • Reliable Wi-fi/internet access;
  • Experience in designing, conducting, evaluating and interpreting epidemiological studies or investigations; and
  • Knowledge of communicable disease surveillance
