Graduate Assistant, Emory University Office of Respect

Emory University Office of Respect is hiring a Graduate Assistant to contribute to their work.

Duties & Responsibilities may include: 

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of an initiative to prevent sexual violence in Emory University communities, including with fraternities and sororities. 
  • Assist with data collection for prevention education efforts
  • Assist with partnering with Sexual Assault Peer Advocates on student focused programming.
  • Serve as a liaison connecting graduate students with undergraduates, staff, and faculty. 
  • Assist in program planning and implementation throughout the semester that impacts diverse members of the campus community about sexual harm, relationship harm, and other forms of interpersonal violence. 
  • Assist in the development and delivery of related primary prevention of sexual and relationship   violence curricula and health education.  
  • Serve as the primary liaison to graduate assistants across campus life as well as graduate student populations and provide recommendations on graduate student programming and outreach. 
  • Works closely with communications on creating informed social media post on behalf of the Office of Respect 
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to advocate for and advance sexual and relationship violence prevention efforts at Emory. 
  • Data entry and statistical analysis
  • Write reports summarizing key projects and accomplishments 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Preferred first-year REAL student 
  • Demonstrated skills in health behavior research methodology, needs assessment, health communication, social marketing, and population-based health promotion 
  • Interest in interpersonal violence prevention, particularly with college populations   
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate both individually and in group settings on sexual and relationship violence prevention and intervention 
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a diverse team consisting of undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty 
  • Punctuality, ability to multi-task efficiently, and professional demeanor required
