Research Assistant Position, RSPH

Research Assistant Position, RSPH

Overview of position

This graduate research assistant position will work with Dr. Alex Morshed on a project to examine how family economic stressors contribute to disparities in evidence-based program reach, engagement, and retention. This project is carried out in partnership with the Parents as Teachers program, a national organization serving families prenatally through kindergarten, which promotes parental resilience through personal visits (e.g., home visits) delivered by parent educators. Recently, a healthy weight intervention was successfully embedded within PAT. There are three components of this project: 1. quantitative analysis of an administrative dataset, 2. theoretical and empirical literature synthesis, and 3. qualitative data collection with families of young children and parent educators and subsequent analyses.

This project is a great opportunity to deepen quantitative, qualitative, and/or literature synthesis skills, disseminate research (e.g., infographics, scientific writing), and engage with community partners. This is a part-time position, 10-20 hours/week.
