Research Project Coordinator II, Emory University, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Emory University School of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services is hiring a Research Project Coordinator to contribute to their work.

The Research Project Coordinator needs to be someone with a passion for working with families of children with autism. Team members are looking for candidates who are interested in interacting with various community members, including families, early intervention coordinators, and community psychologists, to collect data that will be used to support public health initiatives of lowering the age of autism diagnosis across the state. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this position, as well as the desire to work within a team. Candidates will not only have an opportunity to continue an established pilot program of early diagnosis of autism but also to support the start of a second pilot that incorporates the recent FDA approved eye tracking technology to aid in the diagnosis of autism across the state of Georgia. Further, candidates who are successful and want to continue the position will have the chance to train and supervise additional students in the future. 

You will first need to complete CITI Training. Then, candidates will be responsible to maintaining the research database, conducting intakes and consent meetings with referred families, providing intake forms, scheduling assessments or referring families to community providers, and reminding families of upcoming assessments the week before for Emory Autism Center psychologists. Also, responsibilities include ensuring data is entered at the end of the assessment and file and completed accurately. There is an opportunity for research and publication on the data as desired.
