Science, Translated is, a nonprofit student-run journal dedicated to making scientific knowledge accessible and engaging for a broad audience.
The Science, Translated team is currently looking for journalists, editors, and executive team members for the 2025-2026 school year! Their mission stems from the fact that science misinformation doesn’t just distort public understanding, but can lead to devastating, life-altering results. Team members at Science, Translated work to guide the next generation of students through the process of translating complex topics into accessible, digestible stories. Students will have an opportunity to publish articles or make graphics on topics ranging from biology to ecology. They will be guided the entire way by our team of editors and executive board members, from article pitch to final article.
Science, Translated is currently seeking:
- Journalists & Graphic Artists to create compelling, accurate science content and visuals.
- Copy Editors to ensure clarity and precision.
- Executive Team Members to help guide our organization.
Students would benefit from this opportunity by:
- Gaining hands-on publishing experience in science communication.
- Publishing articles and visuals that contribute to a professional portfolio.
- Receive recommendation letters from our editorial team for graduate school or career applications.
- Pursue applied practicum or capstone project credit (we are happy to work with departments to make this possible).
- Network with like-minded peers who are passionate about scientific communication and accessibility.
