Really nice start, Jack! I think was a great choice for the assignment. Your intro works really well, and I think pulling an excerpt from the original story was a good call. I think you’ve also pulled good rhetorical analysis into the end of your script, but I think you could make it a little more podcast-y by revealing that info through interviews–for example, maybe you could fake-interview someone who believed the hoax talking about how they bought it because of her journalistic credentials, or a psychologist talking about how the emotional content drew people in, or… something else entirely.
