Finals are upon us! Whether it’s help with research, a quiet place to focus, or the equipment needed for recording a multimedia project, Emory Libraries has you covered. Check out all of the resources available within the Robert W. Woodruff Library building:
Quiet study areas
- Short-term Individual Study Rooms are available for solitary, short-term work. They are reservable for a maximum of three hours per day and may be booked up to 14 days in advance.
- There are several designated Quiet Study Spaces throughout the Woodruff Library building.
- Some of these quiet areas include the Matheson Reading Room, accessible via the Level 3 bridge at the front of the library, the Music and Media Library on Level 4 (above the lobby), and Levels 4, 5, and 8 in the stack tower.
- While these areas are unable to accommodate group study and conversation, we have many other spaces available for collaboration.
- If you choose to sit at a large table in the Quiet Study areas, be open to making room for others to sit with you. If you’re looking for a seat, don’t be afraid to ask politely if you may join the table if there’s room.
Collaborative study areas
- Learning Commons combines technological resources and support services in an accessible, welcoming environment for learning and research.
- The first two floors of the Woodruff Library are designed to be a place for library users to gather and interact, so if you are working with a group, this is a great place to be.
- Many of the tables, seating, and whiteboards on Levels 1 and 2 are mobile, so you can move things around to best accommodate your study needs.
- Reservable group study rooms are located throughout the library.
