What’s New in Canvas for Fall 2023
Here are some interesting new Canvas features from the past 12 months. They fall into three areas: creating content in Modules & Pages, using the Gradebook, and using Canvas Studio.
Canvas Release Highlights for June 2023
Teachers can publish or unpublish all modules at once. Teachers using New Quizzes may hide practice quizzes from the gradebook & embed content from apps. User access report data is limited to 1 year.
Canvas Deploy Highlights for August 26, 2020
The New RCE toolbar has a Studio button and shows recently used tools under the Apps button. Teachers can share modules directly. The New RCE no longer sets inline YouTube playback automatically.
Canvas Release Highlights for July 18, 2020
Teachers can limit assignment submissions, drag & drop multiple files into empty modules, and use Respondus LockDown Browser with New Quizzes. Canvas releases arrive the third Saturday of each month.
Teaching with Canvas – Michelle Sariev Structures Course Materials for Reference After the Course Ends
Michelle Sariev’s students learn about sexuality in relation to nursing from local health practitioners. Her Canvas course features engaging graphics and collaboration spaces, plus modules organized for student exports.
