Applications Open, Emory Pipeline Collaborative

Please consider applying to be a Graduate Mentor with the Emory Pipeline Collaborative (EPiC)

What is the Emory Pipeline Collaborative? What will you do?

EPiC is a health science education and multi-tier mentorship program for Atlanta public high school students. Graduate students are assigned to small groups that consist of 4-5 mentor/mentee pairs (high school student and Emory undergraduate student) and are responsible for teaching health science curriculum to their group. The curriculum is already designed. Graduate students also help facilitate mentorship between high school mentees and their undergraduate mentors. The program has three cohorts, organized by high school grade, and aligned with the following themes:

·         Sophomores: Human Sexuality and Reproductive Health

·         Juniors: Neurology and Mental Health

·         Seniors: Public Health and Health Equity

What is the time commitment?

·         Attend two training sessions during Fall 2024

·         Be available for in-person sessions that will occur on Wednesdays between 4-7pm from mid-January 2025-April 2025

Who should apply?

All medical, graduate, and professional school students with an interest in health equity and mentorship are encouraged to apply. EPiC is a great way to get more involved on campus, connect with the greater Atlanta community, and meet other graduate/undergraduate students!

Deadline

Application is now open and will close September 16th, 2024, at 11:59pm.
