The Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance (Emory Centers), helps clients and their partners develop the professional skills, evidence-based programs, and policy action needed to build healthier communities. Emory Centers provides innovative trainings, technical assistance, and materials to build the knowledge and skills to foster strong leadership, increase organizational capacity, and strengthen partnerships. Clients include state and local departments of health, non-profit organizations, and foundations. Services span across all public health issues, risk factors, and professional competencies. Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance is a part of the Rollins School of Public Health’s Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences (BSHES) department.
Emory Center’s subcenter for Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement (PEQI) is a specialty subcenter dedicated to continuous quality improvement through feedback on how programs, practices, and information systems are working in practice. PEQI provides comprehensive planning and evaluation assistance for programs, projects, grants, coalitions, and information systems. PEQI works collaboratively with clients to identify effective solutions that enhance the performance of public health professionals and organizations, and the quality of programs and practices.
Position Summary: This Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position involves providing administrative support for the PEQI team. The GRA will primarily work with the PEQI team and other PEQI faculty and staff to support program evaluation and assist in the collection of necessary data for reporting and accreditation purposes. Key responsibilities will be supporting the Evaluation Team in: designing, modifying, deploying, and closing online surveys, monitoring responses, sending follow up emails as needed, writing survey reports, helping assemble evaluation reports. This position will give the GRA the opportunity to gain an understanding of and build skills in program evaluation and analyses; project management principles; and use of electronic survey software. Through the position, the GRA will gain exposure to the groundwork of program evaluation from developing questions, revising the evaluation plan as needed, to presenting data to stakeholders.
Qualifications: Requires knowledge of all Microsoft applications, strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a dedication to creating quality work
Location: Offices are located in the Grace Crum Rollins (GCR) building.
