Graduate Research Assistant, Emory Health Service Research Center

Job Description 

Students can gain experience in answering clinical research questions related to quality improvement, patient outcomes or other aspects of health services research. In this internship, students will be paired with clinical faculty throughout the Department of Surgery or Department of Medicine and assigned analytical tasks for ongoing research projects. The internship will be affiliated with the Health Services Research Center but have to the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple clinical disciplines throughout the School of Medicine.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties would include analyzing a variety of research data using statistical methods, advising on study design, statistical interpretation, data management and analysis using Microsoft Excel, SAS or R. Students may also assist research team by providing analytical support for presentations, abstract and peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant writing or participate in patient enrollment and recruiting for clinical studies. The work environment is collaborative and is with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, biostatisticians, and epidemiologists.
