Role Description

The Know@Home (K@H) study is a longitudinal randomized control trial housed within the PRISM Health research group in the Department of Epidemiology. PRISM is led by Dr. Patrick Sullivan and a team of EPI department faculty and staff. Know@Home is a research project taking place in 11 states across the U.S. This study is evaluating online recruitment approaches as well as health promotion strategies to support HIV testing for Black or African-American and Hispanic or Latino gay and bisexual men and transgender women and non-binary people. As a part of the study, participants are mailed home HIV test kits. Some who are enrolled as participants in the study will be randomized to have access to the Know@Home app/website. This app/website includes information about HIV and STI prevention, treatment, and also includes the option to order home STI testing, condoms, and lubricant for free.

The graduate research assistant would work on tasks around implementation of the study including communications with research participants, enrollment and retention activities, quality checking of data, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, experienced with Microsoft excel, and has working knowledge of HIV and STIs and sexual and gender minority populations.
