Mark is a jack-of-all-trades.

Mark Prefer (pronounced “PREH-fur”) likes to describe himself as a jack-of-all-trades and is still in his first year at the Library. Before Emory, he was at Morris Communications in Augusta, GA for 20 years, where he was also an operating systems analyst.

Born in Augusta, GA, Mark got a BBA from Augusta College.

Mark is your basic “like to read, likes to watch movies, likes to listen to music” kind of guy. He is a fan of sci-fi and hates college hi-jinx movies, “unless Emory does one with Dooley as the main character.”

If you are ever in Augusta, GA, you should check out the Stillwater Taproom, where Mark has been known to “throw back a tankard of ale from time to time.”

“It is still too soon to tell what will be the impact of the reorganiztion, but I think it sounds all good, not bad,” says Mark.
