Welcome to “For I am the Black Jaguar,” an educational website built in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name at the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. We’ve started with five of the most important shamanic animals and plants, but check the links above for pages under construction. Linked scientific names will take you to a page with information on the plant or animal in its natural environment, while clicking on any picture will either take you to a larger version of that picture or a page with alternate views of the work of art.
