Spring 2018 ORA Leadership Speaker Series

On behalf of Dr. David L. Wynes:

Dear colleagues,

To support ORA’s goal to invest in the training and development of all staff and leadership within the division, ORA launched the Leadership Speaker Series in April 2017.  In continuing the ORA leadership speaker series, please mark your calendars for March 15, 2018, at 8:30 am. Details of this spring’s speaker will be emailed, as well as posted on the ORA website soon.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Nathan Spell, who will be talking about Change Management. Dr. Spell began practicing as an internal medicine physician at Emory in 1998. He most recently served as Chief Quality Officer for Emory University Hospital, and leads the Quality Academy.  Dr. Spell is an associate dean for education and professional development at the Emory School of Medicine, where he works across the system to augment professional development, with our doctors at the Emory Clinic, the VA, Grady, Children’s, and Emory Specialty Associates.  He also oversees the continuing medical education, faculty education and associated clinical development activities, programs and initiatives.

In an effort to provide these professional development opportunities to all staff across ORA, the leadership speaker series is open to all ORA employees.  Please check with your supervisor to assure that essential ORA business functions are adequately staffed prior to making arrangements to attend these sessions.

We look forward to your participation and hope that you will find it valuable.

Thank you,

David L. Wynes, Ph.D.
