Pearl Young (‘10C/‘10G) recently finished her Ph.D. in U.S. History at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Young’s dissertation explored the ways in which white Southerners employed evangelical theology to rationalize secession as a moral imperative. She is currently Limited-Term Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University, teaching U.S. History survey courses.
Young was a BA/MA graduate with Highest Honors and a Rabun Prize recipient.
