Welcome back to Oxford, Judge Clint Rucker

April 15, 2022 by Sarah Higinbotham (Edit)

Forty years after Clint Rucker arrived as an undergraduate student at Oxford College, he returned as a Distinguished Lyceum speaker. Judge Rucker and his wife Shaunya Chavis-Rucker enjoyed dinner with students from the Black Student Alliance and Pre-Law Club, a surprise visit from Judge Robert Walker (his Oxford friend and classmate),  then Judge Rucker addressed hundreds of students in the Student Center’s Greer Forum about his career in public service law.

“I hope one day I am able to use my passion to spark change in the world, as Judge Rucker has,” an Oxford student wrote to me after the event. What an honor to host my friend Clint!
