My interest in biophysical chemistry has lead me to work on the protein folding project in the Dyer lab. Specifically, I have been engaged in research interrogating the pH dependent peptide-membrane interaction of the influenza A hemagglutinin fusion peptide. The ultimate goal of this project is to understand the dynamics that govern the assembly of the influenza viral fusion pore, an entity that is generated from a specific interaction between the hemagglutinin transmembrane domain and fusion peptide, and critical to the propagation of the influenza virus.

Outside the lab I enjoy cooking and exploring different restaurants around Atlanta and Decatur with friends.
