My research interests focus on the development of clean fuels, by studying the enzyme mechanism of urease and the reduction of CO2 coupled with enzymes. Specifically deepening an understanding of the connection between a urease mimetic complex, enzymes formed by the CO2 reduction, and the usage of nanomaterials to achieve this goal. I developed a passion for chemistry during my first two chemistry classes at Emory because of the subject’s ability to help me understand the science behind various biological processes. Outside of the lab, I enjoy dancing, painting, and reading (my favorite books are Frankenstein, Little Women, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter).
