Service Desk Kudos

In recognition of personal achievement, Athan Gillette and Brian Young (both of Enterprise Services) were awarded the professional certification of HDI Support Center Analyst in May, 2013.

This certification involves participating in an online course that offers 12 weeks for completion and then taking a timed certification exam. Athan completed the course and certification exam in 4.5 weeks. Randy Phillips (Enterprise Services) already has this certification.  The remainder of the Service Desk Analysts will complete the course by the end of the fiscal year.

In addition, Khalid Sharif (Enterprise Services) recently received this commendation following a service review by Jymbellyn Carthon (Infrastructure):

“Thanks for getting back in touch, (Jymbellyn). The person who helped me resolve the problem most effectively and completely was a young man who was at the University General (e.g. 7-7777) service desk and who was on call last evening. His first name is Khalid and he deserves a special commendation and thanks  for figuring it all out. I hope you can let him know that I was very grateful for his advice.” – Donald Stein, Asa G Candler Professor, Emory School of Medicine

Khalid’s performance helps reinforce OIT’s focus on improving the academic mission at Emory. Great job, Khalid!
