Katie Rawson joins the library staff in support of the English department, helping faculty and students with new and time-honored forms of research. Before coming to Emory, Katie spent two-and-a-half years as the coordinator for digital research and English librarian at the University of Pennsylvania.

In terms of her education, Katie has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina, a master’s degree in English from the University of Mississippi, and a PhD in American studies from Emory. She was born in Greenville, SC.

Said Katie, “I’m thrilled about supporting a program with such diverse strengths. Disability studies and health humanities are becoming more important in the English department, and I look forward to this work.”
