“I learn something new about the archival profession each day.” – NaVosha Copeland

NaVosha Copeland is the new senior library specialist in the User Services Department of the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library. After graduating from Emory in 2016, she worked as an intern in Rose. She also previously interned at the Atlanta History Center Visual Archives (Spring 2017), as well as in the Georgia State University archives (Summer 2017).

Born in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Fairburn, GA, NaVosha received her bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies in history, society, and culture from Emory University and, in May 2018, will attain a master of science degree in information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign via their LEEP online learning program.

NaVosha’s hobbies include attending concerts, particularly jazz, as well as going to the movies where she is a fan of romance, science-fiction, and biopic/history.

“I really like my job and my colleagues, who are welcoming and helpful,” says NaVosha. “I learn something new about the archival profession each day.”
