Jerrell Nixon came to LITS for the growth opportunities and work environment.

Jerrell (pronounced jeh-RELL) Nixon is the newest communications specialist in Field Services. He previously worked for over two years as a data center technician II in the HP|DXE data center in Alpharetta, GA. He also spent two years as a field engineer at Activo in Atlanta. He was also a game technician at Dave and Buster’s.

Born and raised in Long Island, NY, Jerrell earned his associate’s degree in computer science from Gramling State University and a certificate in computer repair from Hunter Business School in New York. He came to Georgia because it is cheaper to live here than in New York.

He loves watching sports and enjoys playing disc golf. “It’s a lot of walking.”

“I needed a change, and there were more opportunities for growth than at the data center,” says Jerrell. “I have a friend (Derrick Leach) who works here, and he told me it was the best place he’s ever worked.”
