Toastmasters Unplugged For Spring

"If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack." ― Winston Churchill

Toastmasters Unplugged, our OIT-sponsored public speaking group, is kicking off its Spring session and we encourage anyone who is interested in dramatically improving their public speaking skills to come to our next meeting on Tuesday, May 14.

At this meeting, we will be finalizing a few long-range details such as our regularly scheduled meeting date and location. In the past, we have always met on Tuesdays in the 1762 building, however more of our membership has migrated to NDB.

By joining Toastmasters, you will not only receive informative workbooks that guide you through the development of your speaking potential, you will also hone your speaking skills among OIT peers with expertise in presentation development and communication preparedness.

Having served as a club officer for the past two years, I have seen several OIT employees completely transform their speaking ability through the experience of speaking in this smaller group and the receipt of constructive feedback and direction.

If you are interested in taking this important step in your career development, please get started by completing this survey.
